Said legal advisor to the Council of Ministers Fadel Mohammed Jawad said the government would appeal formally, next Wednesday the law of the mandate of Prime Minister two sessions. Jawad said that “the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers will appeal formally law identify three states to the Federal Court for unconstitutional next Wednesday.” He added that “approval of the proposed law the mandate of the three presidencies of the House of Representatives violation of the constitution.”
And continued, “We will wait for the judgment of the Federal Court this law does not apply to the prime minister,” stressing that “the Constitution does not specify the mandate of Prime Minister two sessions.” The Iraqi government has rejected the second of January last House vote on the law determining the mandates of the three presidencies, stressing that the parliament’s approval of the proposed law the mandate of the three presidencies contrary to the Constitution.
