A deputy of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan revealed the nomination of three personalities for the position of the Ministry of Justice, and one of them will be chosen and put to the vote in the next parliament session.
Jamal Muhammad Shakur said in a press statement, “The National Union has nominated three personalities to take over the Justice Minister within its ministerial entitlement, and among the nominated figures is Khaled Shawani. We will decide, during the ongoing deliberations and discussions, who is our candidate for the position.”
He added that “dialogues are continuing and extensive to complete the vacant ministerial portfolios, which will not be resolved before the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday to reach candidates who have the confidence of all political blocs.”
On May 6, the House of Representatives voted to grant confidence to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and 15 ministers in the cabinet, and five candidates did not win the confidence of Parliament, who are the candidate of the Ministry of Trade Nawar Nassif Jassem, Agriculture Ismail Abdel-Ridha, Culture Hisham Saleh Dawood, and Immigration and Displacement praise Hekmat Nasser, Justice Abdul Rahman Mustafa, Minister of Justice.
