Among them is ending the mission of the international coalition.. Al-Awadi reveals the details of the call between Al-Sudani and BlinkenInformation/Baghdad..
Government spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi revealed new details on Monday regarding the call between Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, as the call included discussing ending the mission of the international coalition forces from Iraq.

Al-Awadi said in a statement followed by Al-Maalouma Agency, “The call that took place yesterday between Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken came in the context of recent developments in the region and the escalation and recklessness carried out by Netanyahu, violating the sovereignty of states and attacking multiple arenas, which put the region on the brink of a comprehensive war that will not stop at certain borders,” indicating that “what is happening in the region of a frightening trend towards a comprehensive clash is a confirmation of what the Prime Minister has proposed since the Cairo Conference after the start of the war, as he warned early on that if the sparks of these confrontations are not stopped, they will roll to various fronts and will not stop at a specific front and will enter the region into a dark tunnel.”

He added, “Al-Sudani frankly expressed Iraq’s belief that stopping the Gaza war immediately is the best solution to stop any future repercussions and is the key to the success of any required mediation.”

He stressed, “the importance and pivotal role of Iraq and respect for its word in the capitals,” noting that, “Iraq did what its national and patriotic duty dictated to it by moving towards the Security Council, the Arab League and various parties during the past days to take the required measures that are commensurate with the size of the current crisis.”

He stated that “mediations in light of the escalation of the Zionist entity, which is dangerous, and the opening of multiple fronts, the violation of the sovereignty of countries, the implementation of mass assassinations, and the threat of opening a new front in Lebanon, cannot have an effect unless Netanyahu is first curbed, the war in Gaza is stopped, or the rules of engagement in the various arenas are adhered to,” noting that “Iraq will not abandon its role as a pivotal country in the region in working to prevent escalation, and during the past year and a half it has played roles, and is still working to narrow the gap between the various regional parties, but this is contingent on the extent of the international community’s commitment to controlling the reins of the aggressor party.”
