revealed the US State Department reception for the United States Department of 84 thousand and 995 refugees in the fiscal year 2016 in response to the efforts of US President Barack Obama to resettle 85 thousand refugees.
The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the refugees who have been accepted as part of a resettlement program belong to 79 countries.
It added that “more than 70 percent of the refugees who have been resettled have fled the conflicts and wars in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, Burma, Iraq and Somalia.” the
ministry and pointed out that 72 per cent of the refugees who were resettled were women and children and others in dire need of medical aid.
