(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The head of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, for the formation of a new political name of “the Iraqi platform.”
“We are not forming a new party, but an entity that we hope will be active with associations and federations with a broad popular base,” Allawi said at a news conference held today with a number of political figures.
“They are keen to join trade unions and youth unions to expand the scope of this formation and the inclusion of important figures played a role in the political process provided that it comes away from any affiliation that this approach will lead to good results for Iraq.”

“Eighty percent of the Iraqi people boycotted the last parliamentary elections and the current political elites do not make up 5 percent,” he said. “The elections do not sing and we are not satisfied.
