(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The head of the Iraqi bloc, Hisham Al-Suhail, confirmed today, Tuesday, that delaying the approval of the state budget for the current year is unacceptable and has negative repercussions on the reality of the country.
Al-Suhail said in a statement that Al-Furat News received a copy of, that “the delay also does not serve the work of the legislative parliament, which must expedite its submission to the vote.”
Al-Suhail called the Presidency of the House of Representatives and the Finance Committee to “quickly submit the budget bill for a vote because it has a great impact on the life of the citizen, building projects and moving the country’s economy.”
He stressed “the importance of political consensus to resolve the outstanding issues related to the budget, and that Parliament has other important laws that must be enacted, including the Federal Supreme Court Law.”
