Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the 2-megawatt solar power plant for the government palace on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister’s media office said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma Agency, “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the 2-megawatt solar power plant for the government palace, at the start of a project to convert government buildings to renewable energy.”
The project is part of a broader plan to expand the use of clean energy and reduce reliance on gas-fired power plants in Iraq.
