Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani affirmed, on Tuesday, his government’s keenness to continue cooperation with the United States of America.
This came during his meeting today with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi government.
The statement stated that during the meeting, they reviewed joint cooperation between Iraq and the United States of America, and the performance of the Iraqi security forces in combating terrorism and pursuing ISIS terrorist gangs.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed the government’s keenness to strengthen and consolidate relations with the United States of America, at various levels and levels.
Al-Sudani referred to the government’s approach to adopting balanced relations with the regional and international environment based on common interests and respect for sovereignty, and stressed that the stability of Iraq is a key to the security and stability of the region, referring to Iraq’s role in converging views and reducing tensions in the region.
For his part, the US Secretary of Defense affirmed his country’s commitment to supporting the stability of Iraq, and looking forward to consolidating relations between the two countries and developing their partnerships in various fields.
