Shafaq News/ On Saturday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called on the Iraqi parliament to expedite the vote on the emergency food security support law, stressing that the vote should be kept away from “partisan, sectarian and nationalist auctions.”
Al-Sadr said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, “After God Almighty granted us the approval of a law criminalizing normalization, it became imperative for the House of Representatives to pass a service law that directly benefits the people, which is the Food Security Law, without partisan, sectarian or national outbidding and keeping it away from the specter of the corrupt.” “.
He added, “Our hope is with the Iraqi parliament, which has proven its ability to pass, despite the parties’ obstacles and the obstacles of lawsuits, for useful laws, especially the National Salvation Alliance and other national blocs.”
Al-Sadr continued, “Today, all of you should be aware of the suffering and requirements of the people.”
