Al-Saadi said in a statement to Al-Mutala’ Agency, “The House of Representatives will hold an emergency session next week, on Sunday or Monday, to discuss the repercussions of the situation in Palestine, and Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani will attend.”

He added, “The emergency session will include some decisions that will be voted on by the House of Representatives and taken by the government regarding what is happening in Gaza and Palestine in general.”

He explained, “Iraq was the first and the Sudanese position was clear in standing and supporting the Palestinian brothers and was the first to take the initiative to provide support and aid as well.”

He pointed out, “The option of closing the American embassy does not serve Iraq and its interests.”
