The head of the Rafidain Parliamentary Bloc, Yonadam Kanna, said on Sunday that oil prices saved Iraq from a stifling economic crisis, while noting that the white paper for economic reform proposed by the government has not been implemented so far .
Kanna said, “The return of high oil prices in global markets is what saved Iraq from its stifling economic crisis, not the white paper .”
And he indicated that “the relative control of the Corona epidemic in the whole world, contributed to the return of factories and factories, and consequently the demand for oil increased, which increased its price in global markets .”
He added that “the white paper has not been applied to anything, and it is still ink on paper, and if it is applied, it will be harsh on the simple citizen and those with limited income .”
