Shafaq News/ Al-Rafidain Bank announced, on Friday, that non-national citizens will include their salaries on the bank and those wishing to travel outside Iraq by selling dollar currency.
And the media office of the bank stated in a statement today, that the bank decided to include all non-national citizens whose salaries are in the bank and those who wish to travel outside Iraq who do not hold a Master Card by selling dollars and obtaining an amount of 10 thousand dollars, and they can visit one of the two branches of the bank in Palestine Street, next to Rusafa and the neighborhood branch. He pointed out that the comprehensive procedures for selling the dollar are easily through issuing a MasterCard card to the citizen wishing to buy the dollar, and they bring with them the following documents, which are the civil status identity or the unified card and the passport in addition to the housing card and an active mobile number.
The statement pointed out that the bank also decided to open its doors on holidays for Saturday and Sunday corresponding to 24 – and – 12/25/2022 to sell the dollar.
And in implementation of the directives of the Central Bank of Iraq regarding the sale of the dollar, the government bank has started selling foreign currency, the dollar for travel purposes, at no more than 10 thousand US dollars for each customer deposited in the Master Card issued by Al-Rafidain Bank at a price of 1465 Iraqi dinars per dollar.
On December 19, the Central Bank launched a package of measures to control the exchange rate of the dollar, opening outlets for selling foreign currency in government banks to the public for travel purposes (treatment, Hajj Umrah, study) and others.
