Economist Nabil Al-Marsoumi revealed today that the OPEC+ alliance has decided to increase its oil production by 548,000 barrels per day in August, the largest increase in several months, amid efforts to achieve market balance.
Al-Marsoumi told Al-Maalouma, “Iraq’s share will increase by 48,000 barrels per day to reach 4.170 million barrels per day, up from 4.122 million barrels per day this month.”
He pointed out that “this step may add pressure to prices, in light of fluctuating global demand, in addition to parallel increases in production from countries outside the alliance.”
