Today, Saturday, the State of Law coalition revealed feasible ways to resolve the political crisis and proceed with the formation of the new government, while the return of parliament sessions was considered a “step in the right direction.”
The representative of the coalition, Muhammad Al-Sudani, said in an interview with the “Information” agency, that “convening the parliament session and electing the first deputy is a good step after a hiatus of more than two months,” calling on “the parliamentary committees to carry out their daily work, as it is the basis of the parliament’s work.”
He added, “The current political crisis will only be resolved according to two methods: the first is to adopt the principle of dialogue, considering that serious and constructive dialogue is the only way out of the crisis.”
The representative of State of Law explained that “the second method is linked to the partnership of all political forces and according to their electoral entitlements, and all of them participate in a national service government, so that the country will witness security, political and economic stability, and provide services.”
And Al-Sudani: “If these two methods are not relied upon, the political crisis will remain, and will not be resolved,” warning of “the continuation of the political stifling, which will make it difficult to form a government that provides services to the Iraqi people.”
Earlier, the House of Representatives held its first session after a hiatus of more than two months after the demonstrators entered the parliament.
