budget and dollars
Al-Maliki, in an interview with the “Half Circle” program, which was followed by Shafaq News Agency, said, “There is an objection within the coordination framework to the budget, and that the framework’s deputies are in the process of addressing the budget and not rejecting it, and that its law must proceed without loopholes.”
He added, “I did not see the draft budget law until two days ago, but it will pass whatever is said about it with the agreement of all political parties,” adding, “We will not allow the country to pass without a budget like 2014 when they entered Iraq with a war against ISIS.”
Regarding the dollar, al-Maliki pointed out that “the government deals firmly in the dollar file, and within two weeks the exchange rate will be controlled.”
Political agreement paper
Regarding the political agreement paper, the head of the State of Law Coalition indicated that “all forces, including the coordination framework, are bound by what was stated in the political agreement paper according to the contexts,” stressing that “the paragraphs of the political paper are the same that are written and applied in every parliamentary session.”
He continued, “The government and the legal contexts are concerned with taking decisions regarding the Jurf al-Nasr (Al-Sakhr) file,” noting that “the return of some politicians came with a judicial request for the purpose of prosecuting them publicly.”
The election
Regarding the elections, Al-Maliki said, “The situation in Iraq has become stable and there is no need to hold early elections,” noting that “the number of those who protested against the (St. Lego) system in the election law is very limited.”
The head of the State of Law Coalition urged independent deputies and emerging powers to “unite in one political entity,” adding, “The world’s parliaments are governed by large blocs.”
Al-Maliki noted that “the success of government work is the basis of electoral propaganda,” but warned that “appointments do not guarantee victory.”
Carrying a weapon
Al-Maliki affirmed his keenness not to “subject the judiciary to any political outbids, as there is no possibility for the political reality to be exposed to new vibrations,” noting that “the justifications for those who want to break out of the state no longer exist.”
And he added, “We stand against rebellion against the state from any side, faction or component, and I will take up arms whenever the image of the state, its prestige and its system is repeated.”
regional developments
Regarding the recent regional developments, Al-Maliki pointed out that “the Iranian-Saudi rapprochement froze the state of conflict between the two countries, and the region needs reconciliations similar to what happened between Tehran and Riyadh.”
He explained that “Iraq wants to deal with America in accordance with the strategic framework agreement, and that the crowd is not a contradiction to the government and its command is in its hands,” noting that “Iraq is a major country in the region, and that others believe that it poses a military threat to them.”
