MP for the State of Law Coalition Ahmed Al-Watifi called on the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Thursday, to take the necessary measures to preserve Iraqi sovereignty from the ongoing violations.
Al-Watifi said in a statement to / Al-Maalouma / agency, that “one of the government’s priorities is to preserve Iraq’s sovereignty,” noting that “there are many pending files that raise suspicion and doubts about targeting national sovereignty.”
He added that “the sovereignty file is no less important than the service sector,” noting that “Iraq’s sovereignty is above all considerations. There are security violations that require the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of any external attacks on Iraqi territory.”
He continued that “the federal government has the authority to take all legal and diplomatic measures and available means to stop the attacks and protect national sovereignty.”
