Independent politician Abbas al-Maliki affirmed on Thursday that most political forces and blocs agree on moving forward with forming the new government and ensuring the continuity of the political process, steering clear of sharp divisions and polarization.
Al-Maliki told Information that “the parties participating in the elections share a unified vision regarding the necessity of expediting the formation of the government and managing political and administrative affairs in a way that preserves the stability of the state and the continuity of its institutions.”
He explained that “the existing disagreements among political forces do not rise to the level of obstruction or sharp division, but rather can be overcome through dialogue and political understandings,” predicting that “the coming phase will witness broad consensus, allaying fears of crises or internal divisions.”
He pointed out that “all blocs converge on a single goal, which is to preserve the continuity of the political process and not undermine it, regardless of differing positions or political interests,” emphasizing that “this approach reflects political maturity and a collective desire to strengthen national stability.”
