A member of the State of Law Coalition, Abbas Al-Maliki, confirmed that the Al-Kazemi government has many accusations, especially in the files of assassinations, corruption, and waste of public money, pointing out that everyone is waiting for the judiciary to say its word regarding the accusations against Al-Kazemi and his government.
Al-Maliki told Al-Maalouma, “There is an urgent need for the Iraqi judiciary to open all the files of the Al-Kazemi government, especially after the many accusations that were raised against the Public Prosecutor, who is supposed to initiate lawsuits related to accusations of wasting public money and affecting the state, the country’s sovereignty, and assassination cases.”
He added, “The Iraqi street expects state institutions to be strong and apply the law, as if the law is applied to the weak rather than the strong, then society will be in a state of chaos and things will descend into unimaginable consequences.”
And he indicated that “the judiciary has witnessed positions, and it is expected that it will open corruption files related to Al-Kazemi and those surrounding him, in order to convict him and punish him for what he committed during his period of power in the state, or to acquit him in the event that nothing is proven against him.”
