Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Prime Minister, chaired an extraordinary meeting devoted to discussing ways to overcome the electric power crisis, in the presence of the Minister of Electricity.
And discussed the meeting, according to the statement of the Information Office of the Prime Minister, “the current crisis in the provision of electrical energy to citizens, and ways to find quick solutions to them.”
Al-Kazimi said during the meeting that “the government and service apparatus facing great challenges, we have already started effective steps to find solutions, as mismanagement and corruption during the previous period have brought electricity to this bad situation.”
He added that “we will spare no effort to facilitate the task of the Ministry of Electricity to provide the best services to the citizens, and to relieve the suffering of them, for the Iraqi deserves to be provided with the best possible.”
Al-Kazimi directed “immediate attention to maintenance operations for the network, at the level of residential neighborhoods, and through exceptional and quick steps to ease the shoulders of the citizens.”
He also directed “to harness all the capabilities of the state to overcome this crisis, and to take everything that would overcome obstacles, and bypass bureaucratic measures, in order to serve the efforts of the electricity sector, and to provide the optimal service to the Iraqi citizen.”
