The head of the Al-Rafd Center for Strategic Studies, Abbas Al-Jubouri, confirmed that there are mafias that stand behind the high exchange rate of the dollar, in addition to that they stood by the accused of stealing the century, Nour Zuhair, in order to lift the ban on his companies and his family.
Al-Jubouri told Al-Maalouma, that “there are mafias standing behind the high exchange rate of the dollar in the local markets, especially since the state has opened a window to sell the currency at a price of 1460, and traders can go to it instead of resorting to speculators.”
He added that “money mafias are the ones that control the exchange rate of the dollar in the markets, and when they are fought by the responsible authorities, the situation has changed significantly, which confirms that speculators and those mafias have the upper hand in raising the exchange rate.”
And he indicated that “the currency selling mafias are closely linked to the theft of the century, as they worked to exploit the national team’s final matches in the Gulf Championship 25 in order to lift the ban imposed on the companies of Noor Zuhair and his family, which confirms that these mafias are close to each other and protected from political forces.”
