The deputy of the State of Law coalition, Aref Al-Hamami, confirmed today, Saturday, the rejection of the categorical coordinating framework for the nomination of Hoshyar Zebari for the presidency of the Republic, by the Kurdish component.
Al-Hamami said in a statement to the “Information” agency, that “the coordination framework is now in the process of alliances, and if its pillars are completed by transparent methods, political ethics and political honor, then the names will be discussed and approved,” noting that “understanding will be reached until satisfactory and acceptable names for everyone are reached.”
He added, “We wonder where is the shout that denounces the saying, ‘The tempter is not tempted,'” stressing, “We will be the first to reject the nomination of Zebari for the presidency.”
Disagreements are currently taking place within the Kurdish House over the selection of a candidate for the presidency of the Iraqi Republic. The National Union Party is nominating Barham Salih, while the Democratic Party is waving to nominate Hoshyar Zebari for the position; If the union continues in favor. While the two are rejected by most of the national forces, as they have been previously tested.
