MP Arif al-Hamami confirmed on Monday that the number of names nominated for the position of the next prime minister does not exceed four, indicating that what is being reported in some media outlets regarding a larger number is exaggerated.
Al-Hamami told Al-Maalouma, “The indicators available to us confirm that the total number of figures put forward as candidates for the next prime minister is only four names so far,” explaining that “the figures circulating in the media regarding the number of candidates are inaccurate and exaggerated.”
He added, “The Forces of the Framework are determined to resolve the issue of the prime minister within clear parameters, and this resolution will not be complicated given the existence of agreements that may crystallize in the near future, after which the official candidate’s name will be announced.”
Al-Hamami affirmed that “the Forces of the Framework are committed to supporting the formation of a government capable of addressing complex issues, especially in the financial and economic sectors, in addition to creating a genuine partnership with the forces that represent the main components of the country.”
