A well-informed source said, “Al-Halbousi arrived in Erbil this afternoon, away from the media, and met with Masoud Barzani without revealing the reasons for the meeting.”
Yesterday, a member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Karbouli, announced in a press statement that “Al-Halbousi will head at the head of a [Sunni] delegation to the Kurdistan region and will meet Kurdish leaders among them, Masoud Barzani, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party for the purpose of understanding about forming the next government and the recent political developments in the country.” .
