Today, Monday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi confirmed that the membership of any deputy at the end of his resignation, and the matter does not require a vote.
Al-Halbousi said at a conference held in Amman that “the region does not need any external interventions,” hoping that “Iraq will get rid of terrorism.”
He added that “the challenges ahead are economic,” noting that “cooperation between the Iraqi-Jordanian security services will help get rid of terrorists.”
“We will proceed with the formation of a government that will bear its outcomes,” he said.
And he indicated that “the next steps may go quickly,” noting that “the membership of any deputy ends when he submits his resignation, and the matter does not require a vote.”
And he added: “The replacements of the Sadrist bloc’s representatives will be among the losers with the highest votes in the electoral district,” noting that “the political blockage will not continue in the next stage.”
He concluded, “There will be different understandings after the resignation of the Sadrist bloc’s deputies.”
