The political analyst, Muhammad Ali Al-Hakim, said that the political dispute between the framework and the current lies in the fact that one of them seeks to keep Al-Kazemi and hold early elections, while the other seeks a transitional government through which the elections will be held.
Al-Hakim told Al-Maalouma, “Going to half-solutions is better than going to a dead end, as the political process is still reeling in its place and threatening to fall to some extent if both parties (the framework and the current) insist on following the policy of intransigence and breaking the bone.”
He added, “The country is living in a phase of political hibernation in light of a clear and actual division of public opinion between those who reject the proposal to dissolve parliament and those who support it. This means that al-Maliki believes that the application of the constitution is the decisive factor in resolving all outstanding issues, and on the other hand, al-Sadr sees that the reality of the situation is imposed on us.” Going to early elections despite having the highest seats in parliament.”
And he indicated that “the real dispute between al-Sadr and the coordination framework is not over the dissolution of parliament, but rather that the coordination framework insists that a parliament session be held and the formation of an electoral government for a period of time not exceeding a year, with the possibility of him giving up his candidate (Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani), and agreeing on a compromise candidate. All parties are satisfied and work to change the election law, while Al-Sadr refuses to replace Al-Kazemi with another candidate, as well as change the electoral law in whole and in detail, which represents the essence of the dispute in the political process.
