On Monday, MP Amer Al-Fayez, a leader in the coordination framework and head of the Design Alliance, revealed the number of applicants for the position of the next Prime Minister, in addition to the mechanism that will be adopted to select the final candidate.
Al-Fayez told Al-Maalouma News Agency that “the opening of nominations by the Coordination Framework for the position of Prime Minister has so far resulted in more than 30 people applying,” explaining that “the nominations were done personally and not through the Framework blocs.”
He added that “the committee appointed by the framework will conduct interviews with all applicants, after which the names will be narrowed down to only ten candidates, who will be presented by the appointed committee later to the framework’s leaders to choose one person after agreeing on them according to the criteria set in advance.”
It should be noted that the leaders of the Coordination Framework had previously formed a three-member committee to evaluate candidates for the position of the next Prime Minister.
