The head of the political bureau of the Reconstruction and Development Alliance, MP Haider al-Fawadi, called on political forces and blocs on Monday to overcome their differences and expedite the nomination of their candidates for the vacant ministerial positions. He stressed that the current exceptional circumstances necessitate supporting executive stability and completing the formation of a fully empowered government.

Al-Fawadi told the Information Agency, “The country cannot tolerate the continued vacancy of ministerial portfolios or reliance on acting administrations given the complexities of the internal and external situations.” He explained that “proceeding with finalizing the nominations is a fundamental step to enhance institutional performance and advance service and development projects that directly impact citizens’ lives.”
He added, “Iraq faces serious regional and security challenges and turning points affecting the region as a whole, which requires a fully empowered and strong government capable of making sovereign decisions and protecting supreme national interests.” He pointed out that “national responsibility dictates that all parties prioritize the public interest and move away from narrow partisan rivalries to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”
