The leader of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Mohammed Al-Bayati, acknowledged on Friday that the strategic option for Iraq is to expel the American forces as soon as possible.
Al-Bayati said in an interview with /Al-Maalouma/ Agency, “There is no justification for the presence of thousands of American soldiers in Iraq with security stability and forces with a high level of efficiency in facing all challenges, stressing that Washington’s excuses for staying have ended and it must realize that Baghdad, with all its spectra, is with the decision to expel its forces.”
He added that “the strategic option for Iraq is to expel the American forces as soon as possible, stressing that any procrastination in jumping the timelines set by the Joint Supreme Committee to expel those forces will be met with great popular anger.”
He pointed out that “the Al-Aqsa flood and the great support provided by the American forces to the Zionist genocide machine against the Palestinians and the Lebanese push us to insist more than ever on expelling them because their presence comes within the framework of protecting the entity and its arrogance in the region in general.”
It is noteworthy that American forces are currently deployed in the Ain al-Assad and Harir bases, in addition to a limited presence in the embassy in Baghdad.
