Al-Fateh: Passing the budget is destined for consensus, away from obstacles

The Al-Fatah Parliamentary Bloc confirmed, on Tuesday, that the budget bill would be passed and voted on as a whole next week, indicating that passing the law will not face any obstacles after agreeing on it.
A member of the bloc, Rafik al-Salihi, said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The majority of the council members are excited about passing the draft general budget law after five months of the current fiscal year.”
He added, “The differences that faced the stage of studying the budget law within the Parliamentary Finance Committee have been resolved, including those related to the Kurdistan region, and there are only some points left that will be resolved by majority vote.”
Al-Salihi indicated, “Passing the budget will not face any obstacles, and will vote on it as a whole next week.”
The parliament’s agenda included setting next Thursday’s session as a date for holding a voting session on the general budget.
