The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Al-Fatlawi, called on Monday the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani to reveal to the Iraqi people the new conspiracy hatched by the United States of America by reducing financial transfers to Iraq, which led to raising the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar.
Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The crisis of the continued high exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar is an American conspiracy to make Iraq submissive to the American will.”
He added, “The main reason behind the high exchange rate is mainly due to the US Federal Bank reducing the transfer of Iraqi funds to 10%,” noting that “oil sales are delivered to the World Bank, and the latter transfers them to the US Federal Bank, which transfers those funds.”
Al-Fatlawi called on the government to “disclose to the Iraqi people the new conspiracy hatched by the United States of America by reducing financial transfers to Iraq,” calling on the political forces to “have a position for Iraq to be independent and have the right to dispose of its money and wealth and to find an alternative and not to deal in dollars.”
