On Monday, the leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Hussein Al-Fatlawi, described the attempt to appear in the media to the former president of the caliphate, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, as a failure and despair, indicating that the interview aimed to polish his miserable image after his involvement in corruption was proven.
Al-Fatlawi said, in a statement to Al-Maalouma, that “the recent successive media appearances of former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi is only clear evidence of his failure during his tenure as head of the previous government.”
He added, “The media appearance is an attempt by Al-Kazemi to polish his image, which was reflected by the coordination framework, especially Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, by exposing the corruption of Al-Kazemi’s government.”
He pointed out that “the weakness that Al-Kazemi experienced at a certain stage is another evidence of his inability to confront the large and organized thefts within his previous government and even move or pronounce them when he had full constitutional powers,” wondering why “Al-Kazemi did not take executive measures when he was on the hierarchy of power.” Confronting corruption, as Al-Kazemi raises, is a miserable topic.”
On Monday, the representative of the Al-Sadiqun Bloc, Ali Turki, had revealed that an extensive investigation had been opened regarding the corruption of former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, indicating that the talk about Al-Kazemi’s rule is a play known to the Iraqi people.
