The leader of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Ali Al-Zubaidi, confirmed today, Saturday, the issuance of an arrest warrant against the expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, within the next few days, indicating that the latter is banned from traveling and house arrest has been imposed after the Federal Court’s decision.
Al-Zubaidi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The decision to terminate Al-Halbousi’s membership eliminated three projects, most notably normalization with the Zionist entity,” noting that “there are many files waiting for him to open them and hold him accountable.”
He continued, “The fall of Al-Halbousi and the loss of his position will be the point through which all files of corruption and legal and administrative violations will be revealed,” noting that “the issuance of an arrest warrant against the expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, will take place within the next few days.”
Al-Zubaidi added: “The international agenda usually turns its back on the clients, as is the case with the Speaker of the House of Representatives who was expelled by the court’s final and binding decision,” adding that “the latter lost the international factor that he was betting on in order to influence the Federal Court.”
Many popular and political circles called on the government and the judiciary to arrest the expelled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, after fraud was proven, in addition to many files and violations committed by the latter in the western provinces of the Liberated Provinces Reconstruction Fund, and manipulation of those covered by the Law of the Martyrs, Retirement and Integrity Foundation and the Al-Wafa Lands File in Anbar.
