On Thursday, the leader of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Ali Al-Fatlawi, considered the Iraqi resistance’s targeting of the Ain Al-Assad base with two drones as an explicit announcement by it of the end of the deadline it gave to the government and the Americans regarding completing the schedule for the withdrawal of the coalition forces and the American forces.
Al-Fatlawi told Al-Maalouma Agency, “There are two main factors behind the Iraqi resistance targeting the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar. The first is that the occupation forces did not take advantage of the opportunity given to them by the resistance for four months to carry out withdrawal procedures seriously, and they did not give it any importance.”
He added, “The second factor is the United States of America’s continued support for the Zionist entity with weapons and equipment and the crimes committed by the Zionist army against the Palestinians in Gaza.”
He expected “the continuation of resistance operations with new methods, and they will target all American and Zionist interests, whether inside or outside Iraq.”
The US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) admitted, through one of its officials, that the US Ain al-Assad base in Anbar Governorate was attacked by two drones.
