{Baghdad: Al Furat News} A member of the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, Jassem Al-Bukhati, revealed an upcoming important conference that brings together 15 governorates.
Al-Bukhati told Al-Furat News that “the meeting revolves around the stalled projects adopted by the projects of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, which are in the hundreds and suffer from extinction.”
And between “The state is in a state of total deficiency in the process of rehabilitating services and we had a meeting with the head of the Investment Authority and the Minister of Construction as the sectoral authority and we went toward announcing a set of roads linking Baghdad to the governorates and between the governorates together.”
“We have been given 15 days to nominate these methods, and after that, a conference will be convened that includes 15 governorates and a subsidiary body for investment, construction, planning and finance for an expanded conference to be held in the Ministry of Construction to launch the first batch of roads, and we start with short methods such as Diyala, Wasit, Najaf, Karbala and other provinces and in Baghdad,” he added.
He revealed that “he contacted the Prime Minister’s Office and asked us the axes that we will discuss during a meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, so the committee held a consultative session and 12 topics were nominated, including those related to the Baghdad Municipality, the reluctant projects, the review of services and waste, and other matters pertaining to the provinces.”
The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee revealed yesterday that it will meet Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi next week to present several files.
A statement of the Parliamentary Media Department stated that the committee will “meet the Prime Minister next week and will present several axes”, noting that “the deliberative meeting discussed the reasons for the delay in projects, services, construction, and municipalities from sewage, water, and roads with each of the secretariat of the capital Baghdad, Baghdad governorate, and other governorates And ways to activate the investment after the technical workshop that was held from recently and the stages reached by the workshop regarding external methods.
