Sabah al-Akeeli, a member of the Rights Movement, confirmed that the names circulating in the media as potential candidates for prime minister are merely speculations, and it is impossible to be certain that any of them will obtain the executive position.
Al-Akeeli told Al-Maalouma, “The issue of deciding on the prime minister position depends on agreements and consensus among the political parties within the coordination framework, as work is still underway to resolve the matter.”
He added, “Although the prime ministership file is linked to the coordination framework and the Shiite component specifically, it also requires consensus among all parties regarding this position.”
He explained that “the talk circulating in the media and the names mentioned from time to time as potential candidates for the prime minister position are merely speculations, and it is impossible to be certain that any of them will obtain the aforementioned position, as the matter is linked to the coordination framework and political consensus.”
