After Abadi’s resignation, informed sources confirmed the establishment of a consultative body, including the leadership of the veteran Dawa Party, who will leave their posts to chart a new party, led by young cadres.
The sources pointed out that the most prominent figures that will give up its position are “Nuri al-Maliki, Ali al-Adeeb, Hassan Shubar, Abdul Halim Zuhairi and others.”
She noted that these decisions will be announced at the annual conference scheduled to be held on the 15th of this month.
It is worth mentioning that this step comes after the divisions and splits witnessed by the party, and bringing the young faces, is only to bring the party back to its real course.
