After Opening The Door For Candidacy For The Presidency Of The Republic..The Union: The Next Parliament Session Will Fail

A member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ayoub Ahmed, confirmed, on Monday, that opening the nomination window again is a new failure in the political process, explaining that the next parliament session will fail unless there are understandings.
Ahmed said in a statement to the “Information” agency, that “opening the nomination window for the position of President of the Republic again means the failure of another session and a new delay in the political process,” noting that “there is no text or article in the constitution that indicates opening the door for nomination.”
He added, “The next parliament session for the President of the Republic will fail again unless there is an agreement outside the walls of Parliament.”
And he indicated that “understandings and consensus are the alternative to all the political problems that are taking place now on the position of the President of the Republic.”
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan had previously confirmed that his party adheres to Barham Salih as a candidate for the presidency and will not present another figure for this position, pointing out that the party has an intention to appeal the decision to open the door for candidacy by the House of Representatives for the aforementioned position.
