The head of the Wujud Movement, Muhammad Abu Sa’ida, confirmed that the Coordination Framework has excluded al-Sudani from consideration for the next prime ministership due to several reasons and stances he has taken that have not been communicated to the Framework’s members.
Abu Sa’ida told Al-Ma’luma, “Al-Sudani’s positions, actions, and distancing himself from the Framework on many issues, his foreign activities, and the recent rift have made him an unsuitable candidate for prime minister.”
He added, “Tensions between al-Sudani and other parties within the Framework have escalated as the elections approach, reaching the point of verbal attacks between the Framework’s leaders, particularly the State of Law Coalition, and other parties affiliated with al-Sudani.” He explained that
“al-Sudani has a media group of up to a thousand journalists working on a freelance basis to serve his projects, and he spent exorbitant sums exceeding $2 billion during the last election campaign, which has made him unacceptable for a second term.”
