Shafaq News/ The total sales of the hard currency of the US dollar by the Central Bank of Iraq, which opened the auction last week, amounted to about one and a half billion, in a clear increase in sales.
Shafaq News Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week and for the 5 days in which the auction was opened, one billion, 448 million, 692 thousand, and 896 dollars, at a daily rate of 289 million, 579 thousand, and 812 dollars, lower than what was recorded last week, in which the selling rate was 291 million, 368 thousand, and 812 dollars.
The highest dollar sales were on Thursday, when they amounted to $307,931,825, while the lowest sales were on Tuesday, when sales amounted to $272,939,389.
Our correspondent indicated that foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to one billion, 386 million, 942 thousand, and 896 dollars, compared to cash sales that amounted to 61 million, 750 thousand dollars.
