Today, Tuesday, MP and former Minister Wael Abdel Latif accused influential internal parties, including big heads, of being behind the escape of the wanted Nour Zuhair.
Abdul Latif said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “It is natural and expected that Nour Zuhair will not attend the trial scheduled for today, as it will lead to his conviction and he will be behind bars for a very long time,” accusing “internal political parties of covering up the corruption of this criminal, in addition to working to prevent him from attending the trial.”
He said, “What happened in Lebanon is a play because there was no actual incident, and this is what the media confirmed,” calling on the government to “find out where the accused traveled as soon as possible.”
He called on the “Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact the Lebanese government to find out where Nour Zuhair went after leaving Beirut and to work on his extradition,” indicating that “this criminal will never come to Iraq for trial.”
Today, the Anti-Corruption Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for “Nour Zuhair”, accused of stealing tax deposits.
