Abdul-Hadi: Intensive contacts to finalize the date for the vote on 9 ministerial portfolios

On Thursday, Uday Abdul-Hadi, a member of the Coordination Framework, confirmed that intensive contacts are underway between various political forces to determine a date for the vote on nine ministerial portfolios in Ali Zaidi’s government.
Speaking to Al-Maalouma, Abdul-Hadi explained that “intensive contacts are currently taking place between the Coordination Framework and other political forces to agree on a date for the Iraqi Parliament session to vote on the candidates for nine ministerial portfolios, including sovereign ministries, in Ali Zaidi’s government.”
He added that “the beginning of next week will witness a round of meetings and contacts aimed at reaching understandings that will determine the date of the Parliament session, during which the vote on nine ministerial portfolios will take place, most notably the Interior, Defense, and Planning ministries.”
He indicated that “the final agreement on the names of the candidates has not yet been reached, but the coming days will be crucial in determining the candidates’ names and reaching a political consensus on them.”
