{International: Euphrates News} US company “ExxonMobil” began evacuating its staff from the field “Qurna” oil in Basra, southern Iraq to the Emirate of Dubai in the UAE.
The news agency “Reuters” Iraqi sources said that production in the field, “Qurna-1″ was not affected by the evacuation of “Exxon Mobil” for its staff.
The evacuation began in batches late on Friday and continued early Saturday.
Some employees went to the company’s headquarters in Dubai, while others went to the headquarters of a foreign oil company in the city of Basra.
Media reports earlier this week that ExxonMobil has delayed its employees, but the Ministry of Oil denied last Wednesday, the authenticity of these reports, and confirmed that the company employees “working alongside their colleagues of Iraqis and foreigners in the consortium of companies developed for the West Qurna field according to Planned program ”
