A secret meeting between the Kurdish and Shiite parties to undermine al-Maliki

Early on Sunday, a source revealed the secret visit of the President of the KDP, Massoud Barzani to Baghdad to discuss the common interests between the Shiite and Kurdish parties.
The source said, “The high-level delegation, headed by Massoud Barzani visited Baghdad and met Badedda political figures (Shiite) of the most important head of the Supreme Council Ammar al-Hakim, and a number of members of the Virtue Party and the Sadrist movement to agree on the structure of the election and how to gain power and keep al-Maliki.”
He added that “this visit has in secret and lasted several days in order to reach an agreement on the demands of the delegation, particularly the removal of the Dawa Party, Nouri al-Maliki from power and not handed over any position.”
The source continued that “a joint delegation includes the Union of Forces and a number of Kurdish officials will visit the United States and Britain over the next few days.”
