Independent politician Dr. Ahmed Al-Fahdawi confirmed, on Sunday, that there is a political movement among the political forces to change Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi within a period of 30 days, especially after cases of corruption that appeared at the level of his party as well as in the legislative authority.
Al-Fahdawi told Al-Maalouma, “The Taqaddum party’s disregard for the demands of the people of Anbar and its failure to deal with them prompted demonstrations against this party to demand rights, services, justice for the province, and the fulfillment of their demands.”
He added, “Anbar is witnessing an awakening after 6 years of monopolizing decision-making and corruption, and it is expected that major changes will occur in this province after the holding of the provincial council elections to be held next December.”
And he indicated that “the awakening of the people of Anbar and the Sunni political movement and its support from the Shiite forces may push for the change of al-Halbousi and his removal from power within a period of 30 days, especially after corruption in the legislative authority, which appeared on the members of his party team.”
