Representative of the State of Law Coalition, Jassem Atwan, called today, Wednesday, to reconsider some ministers after conducting strict censorship, noting that the foreign minister caused a crisis during his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Atwan said in an interview with the information agency, “Such mistakes threaten strategic relations with all countries of the world amid Iraq’s need for such relations as Russia,” noting that “the coming period will witness a reconsideration of some ministers after conducting strict supervision of them.”
And he continued, “There is no excuse or reason that justifies Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein’s mistake in receiving Lavrov,” pointing out that “the withdrawal of confidence will be among those who committed mistakes, and perhaps the foreign minister after the mistake he made during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.”
Regarding the oversight performance of the House of Representatives, Atwan explains, “Parliament, according to committees and specialization, takes notes on the performance of all ministers in order to evaluate and issue decisions to withdraw confidence from those whose government program proves to be unsuccessful in the current period.”
Political analyst Hussein Al-Kinani had accused, in a previous statement to Al-Malooma, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, of working to implement the United States’ agendas and directions.
