The Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee confirmed, on Monday, that some political blocs will refuse to vote on the paragraph of raising the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar within the draft federal budget law for 2021 .
Committee member Mazen Al-Faily said that “the draft federal budget law for 2021 has not reached the House of Representatives yet,” noting that “some political blocs in the Council will refuse to vote on the article related to raising the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar .”
He added that “the budget law will need more than 40 days to read it in the House of Representatives,” indicating that “delaying the budget sending will negatively affect many financial matters and projects .”
