A member of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee, Falah Al-Khafaji, warned today, Wednesday, the government and political forces of the danger of manipulating once again the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, stressing that involving the people in such adventures and pressure will never be in the interest of anyone.
Al-Khafaji said in an interview with Alsumaria News, “The file of raising the price of the dollar against the dinar, the government and political forces that were supportive of raising the price, should stay away from this file and not seek to risk its future and destiny and increase the price again, because the Iraqi people are in a case of raising the price.” The price is being slaughtered daily, and it can no longer bear more pressure and provocation, and the entire political process may collapse in the event of insisting on provoking the people and putting pressure on them, especially in the issue of the dollar price.
Al-Khafaji added, “The political forces and the government are unlikely to have the ability to again manipulate the dollar exchange rate, given that it is a sensitive issue with the existence of poverty and famine in the classes of the people,” noting that “the state is unproductive and unable to control its resources, It is not investment and depends on one resource, which is oil. Therefore, involving the people in such adventures and pressure will never be in the interest of anyone.”
