Member of the Coordination Framework, Uday Abdul Hadi, confirmed on Friday that the list of candidates for the position of Prime Minister of the next government will be clear in its initial details by the end of next week.
Abdul-Hadi told Al-Maalomah: “All the names being put forward in the media as candidates for the position of Prime Minister are speculations and conjectures by politicians and analysts, but officially the Coordination Framework has not dealt with any name so far.”
He added that “the matter depends on a central committee formed by the framework to be open to the names that will be put forward in the coming days, and it is expected that the initial names for the position of Prime Minister will be announced by the end of next week.”
He pointed out that “the framework does not set red lines for anyone who finds himself competent and experienced to take on this position, and the matter is related to the points specified by the framework and the understandings, which will inevitably reduce the number of nominated names.”
Abdul-Hadi affirmed that “the framework agrees on the necessity of expediting the formation of the government, with the expectation that dialogues will begin clearly and rapidly starting next week. It is open to all political forces representing the various components of society to form a national consensus government. These dialogues will determine the nature and composition of the ministries and the government program, which represents the core of the next government’s work.”
