A leap in Iraqi oil exports to AmericaShafaq News/ The US Energy Information Administration announced on Saturday that Iraqi oil exports to America increased by 97 thousand barrels per day during the past week.

The administration said in a report seen by Shafak News Agency that “the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from nine countries amounted to 5.409 million barrels per day, down by 104 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, which amounted to 5.513 million barrels.”

And she added, “America imported crude oil from Iraq at a rate of 174,000 barrels per day, an increase of 97 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous week, which amounted to 77,000 barrels per day.”

She pointed out that “most of America’s oil revenues during the past week came from Canada, at a rate of 3.612 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico, whose imports amounted to 674 thousand barrels per day, followed by Saudi Arabia, whose imports amounted to 345 thousand barrels per day, then Russia, with an amount of 345 thousand barrels per day. At a rate of 211,000 barrels per day.

According to the administration, “the amount of US imports of crude oil from Ecuador amounted to an average of 195 thousand barrels per day, followed by Brazil, whose imports amounted to 84 thousand barrels per day, followed by Colombia, at a rate of 71 thousand barrels per day, and then Nigeria, at a rate of 43 thousand barrels per day.”
