On Friday, the leader in the coordination framework, Jabbar Odeh, accused Washington of spending millions of dollars to spread homosexuality in Iraq.
In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Odeh said, “Day after day, Washington and the West in general show the true face of the lie of moral values that it promotes by supporting the degeneration called homosexuality, announcing it and considering it a sacred matter, and for this reason laws are enacted that allow its publication and defense.”
He added, “Washington, through its cultural and humanitarian programs under many names, has spent millions of dollars in Iraq in order to spread the epidemic of homosexuality in various forms, stressing that raising flags of decadence in some Western embassies in Baghdad is tangible evidence of its involvement in a scheme intended to strike the foundations of Iraqi society.”
He pointed out that “homosexuality is tantamount to intellectual occupation by threatening human values and creating an epidemic of disintegration, and this is what the West seeks to preserve its position in plundering people’s goods and controlling their capabilities.” Recently, US attempts to spend $12 million in 3 Iraqi universities to support the homosexuality file have sparked angry reactions, amid calls to prevent such actions that threaten stability.
